Yale CLT Container Lugs Information
When steel shipping containers need to be lifted from the top rather than the side then the Yale CLT container lugs should suit your needs. Lifting from the top has additional benefits over side lifting lugs; they enable the lifting and loading of containers from the middle of a cluster which are usually so tightly packed in the side ports can not be used.
Due to the fact that these lifting lugs are for vertical lifting only they will typically need to be used with a spreader frame to prevent angled pulling forces on the lugs.
To use these lugs, simply push them down into the top ports on each corner of the container and rotate 90 degrees to secure in place.
You should always follow port safety regulations when handling containers, as well as the lug manufacturers instructions.
