Tiger SS20 Chain Block Corrosion Resistance
The Tiger SS20 corrosion resistant chain block has many upgraded components and high corrosion protective finishes. The high spec paint coating adheres to ISO 12944 C5M.
After undergoing substantial testing the Tiger SS20 manual chain block has been cleared for multi-immersions over a 54 day period. What’s more additional tests on internal components ensure over 1500 hours protection to ASTM B117 conditions. (salt water spray tests).
Therefore you can be confident in using this hoist in briny conditions whether immersed or topside. Used in many marine type environments these hoists can handle load capacities ranging from half a tonne right up to 30 tonnes depending on the model chosen.
Tiger SS20 Subsea Chain Block Features
With easy portability thanks to being relatively light and compact the SS20 chain block can be used across many locations easily enough, and can also be used in fleeting or cross hauling tasks for which it has been tested and subsequently certified.
The load and hand chains have corrosion protection and the brake chamber has a double cover. The brake system uses bonded, grooved marine friction discs which have a reliable braking surface area in wet conditions. The grooves help to disperse water away from the surface.
The SS20 Chain block boasts an 8 point thread pinion shaft for multi-start, doubling the lead distance and thus increasing brake efficiency; by 100% when compared to a typical 4 point system.
The quad cam pawl system with 2 reciprocating cam pawls ensures optimum brake safety.
Bearings are from phosphor bronze for optimum corrosion resistance.
On the bottom hooks the yoke forgings are recessed and provide full protection to the anchoring bolts preventing any debris from entering and subsequently restricting the load sheave.
Special chain bags are available to suit your chain length and incorporate drainage holes and a stainless frame.
