Tiger SS19 Subsea Ratchet Lever Hoist Features
The SS19 Lever hoist may be utilised for pulling and towing tasks as well as your typical lifting operation and therefore commonly used by fishermen, recovery and rescue vessels and other sea faring applications and off shore.
Briny conditions in these areas can quickly corrode some materials, especially typical metals. Materials used in standard hoists can not be used sub-sea as corrosion will happen fairly quickly resulting in load failure.
Tiger subsea hoists use different, high grade materials, like phosphor bronze bearings, marine paints and lubricants in their design to vastly reduce the speed of corrosion.
Vigorously tested beyond the standard ASTM B117 salt water requirements, multiple immersions over a maximum 54 day period are possible, however certain criteria must be met, find out more in the technical guide above.
SS19 Subsea Lever Hoist Safety Features
This ratchet lever hoist boasts many safety features to ensure optimum load safety at all times. The quad cam brake pawl is a patented design and together with the 8 point multi-start pinion thread (typically 4 is standard) and unique, rotational inertia driven torque switch brake boasts unparalleled safety.
Other key features include light load protection, brake housing protection, bonded marine friction brake discs, recessed hook yoke housing and multiple fall load sheave bearings.
Detailed information on these features and more can be found above in the PDF download where you will also find the full specifications and dimensions of the models available.
The SS19 ratchet hoist not only meets IMCA DO28 Rev 2 guidance for offshore lever hoists but exceeds them.
Proof tested to 1.5 x the stated capacity and light load tested to 2% of the stated capacity. Supplied fully certified.
More Subsea Equipment
When lifting loads in marine environments, subsea or offshore specialist equipment is required. Lifting Gear Store can supply a range of manual hoists as well as ROV controlled chain blocks. We also have a load cell shackle for subsea use so you can constantly monitor your loads whilst submerged.
