About the Subsea Chain Block – SSC4
With its offset quad pawl design load holding safety is second to none. As the gear turns each pawl engages and because there are four it is unlikely that all of them will fail to engage at the same time, at least one will always lock in and thus, hold the load.
Another benefit to the quad pawl design is that adjustments are more precise and therefore offers better tensioning abilities. Fully tested to 2x the normal standard you can be assured of optimum safety.
With excellent corrosion protection thanks to specialised component such as stainless fixings, category 5, 3 layer marine paint finish and high performance specialist grease throughout these manual chain blocks are perfect for use subsea or for topside applications.
Cast steel hooks with integrated safety catches provide very secure connection points and incorporate overload indicator marks and traceability codes.
Whilst vertical straight lifts are the usual lifting method for this type of hoisting device the SSC4 may be used where fleeting or cross hauling is necessary up to 45 degrees. Load capacity reduction is not required thanks to its thorough testing and verification.
