Yale 360 Manual Chain Hoist Benefits & Capabilities

As mentioned above the biggest benefit to the Yale 360 manual chain block is the full rotation of the hand chain cover which facilitates operation from almost any orientation. This can be extremely beneficial when space is limited. Thanks to being able to pull from the side the Yale 360 can be used for pulling and tensioning task.

A further benefit relating to the multi-directional hand chain is that the user can operate the hoist away from the danger area, as well as above the load. Therefore operator safety is fully optimized.

When it comes to lifting capabilities the base model can handle up to 500kg whilst the largest model can handle up to 20000kg. We can also supply these 360 manual hoists with a choice of lifting heights ranging from 3 metres to 10 metres.

More 360 Manual Chain Block Features

Besides the innovative rotational hand chain mechanism this chain block has some other great features. Unlike many chain blocks the Yale 360 doesn’t use ratchet pawls in the brake system this is because they can be vulnerable to failure. The traditional weston screw and disc style system optimises positive load control and performance, whilst guaranteeing operational safety. Servicing is also much easier.

Other key features include a hardened load sheave with pockets that have been precisely machined to ensure precise movement of the load chain. Each model has four pockets (20 tonne model has 5) which match perfectly with the chain link. High quality bearings are used for a smooth lifting process.

The gearbox is covered almost completely to offer optimum protection, this applies to the chain guide too.

When it comes to the hooks, both the top suspension hook and the lower load hook are forged with high tensile steel, this ensures that in the event of overloading the hooks will yield/bend rather than snap completely. Both hooks incorporate robust safety catches to ensure they stay put and they can swivel through the full 360 degrees to facilitate easier loading.

Optional extras available on request include adjustable overload protection and a chain container.
