Red Rooster TCR Air Hoist Options
There are six standard model options in the TCR range, they are; TCR250, TCR500/2, TCR500, TCR1000/2, TRC1000 & TCR2000/2. The first number denotes the maximum load capacity, for models with a “/2” add on this denotes the hoist has two chain falls, without this they will just be a single fall.
When it comes to the lifting height available there are 3 options which are 3, 6 or 9 metre height of lift.
The final option is for a filter which removes moisture and particles from the air and thus reduces the incidence of internal rusting.
TCR Pneumatic Hoist Features
For optimum performance and lifting speeds TCR air hoists will need 6 bar pressure, 5 bar is an option (or 72 to 90psi) however the hoist will be slower at lower pressures.
The hoists also incorporate epicyclical gearboxes which are more compact and have higher torque transmissions and thus, are more efficient.
When it comes to stopping there is an internal automatic disc brake featuring a fail safe mechanism.
The Toku rotary vane motor operates by forcing compressed air through and turning the vanes or paddles (rather like a windmill) which subsequently provide the power to the hoist.
Alloy steel swivel hooks with safety catches, Upper and lower limit switches, integral silencing (83dB(A)) and an adjustable load limiter are some other great features in the TCR air hoists.
All air hoists in the TCR range work optimally on 6 bar pressure and use a 1/2” BSP air connection with a minimum 1/2” hose diameter.
Lifting speeds vary across the models and will depend on the load weight. Lifting speeds are obviously much faster when unloaded, for example the smallest model, the TCR250 can lift unloaded at 19 metres per minute; with a load it is more like 9.3m/min; lowering with a load speeds are around 17.9m/min. The full details for each model can be found in the specifications above.
More Pneumatic Air Hoists
Besides the Red Rooster TCR air hoist range the Lifting Gear Store can also supply the TCS high speed hoist which has capacities of 500kg or 980kg with loaded lifting speeds of 17 or 8.5m/min respectively.
Other options include the Red Rooster material handling hoist which incorporates a tool handling device – ideal for bench work and production lines.
If you don’t have air power then take a look at our electric hoist collection or perhaps a manual chain block if these powered options do not suit your needs. Help and advice for all our lifting equipment products is just a phone call away.
