Hydraulic Furniture Lifter and Mover Specifics
Our selection of hydraulic furniture lifter and mover sets incorporates 2 models. They can both handle 1800kg loads and have the same dimensions, however they can lift to different heights. The FM180A can lift loads up to 100mm whilst the FM180B has a lifting height of 250mm.
These heights may not seem like much, however all you should need is for the object to just clear the ground so that is can be pushed to a new location.
The ground on which they are to be used must be clear and level.
There are two trolleys in the set complete with securing straps to hold them together once the furniture item has been loaded. Two people will be needed to use the hydraulic furniture moving kit. This is because each trolley has its own hydraulic cylinder which should be operated in tandem to lift the object safely whilst keeping stability. This is most important, especially on taller items.
Using the furniture mover.
The loading platform or lifting plate, which supports the furniture from the underside measures 600mm by 60mm. You should ensure that each trolley is pushed fully under each narrowest side of the furniture, so it touches the frame. Don’t worry about marking the item, foam rubber is used on the upper and lower support bars for good protection.
With regards to the capacity it is worth noting that the maximum stated load capacity is for the load across the pair of trolleys. Therefore each trolley can hold 900kg individually and thus 1800kg as a pair. The hydraulic system incorporated on each trolley enables the load to be lifted easily and set down gently.
A single trolley may be used for physically smaller loads that can be loaded around the centre of gravity. They should be able to tilt safely without compromising the trolley’s safe use or the users safety.
The securing straps supplied with this kit are intended for the connection of the two trolleys, pulling them tightly together so they move in tandem. They also ensure the trolleys stay in place under the furniture and cannot slip out during movement. The straps are not intended to support the furniture and should not be used to tighten around furniture edges. See the user manual for more clarification.
Other Load Moving Equipment.
When it comes to load moving there are a number of products to consider. For items like machinery and cabinetry, load moving skates are a great option. They take up minimal storage space, yet can handle pretty heavy loads. Simply slip them under your item (more than one may be needed for stability) and push it to where required.
Your choice of load moving equipment will largely depend on the type of your loads and the frequency of your moving.
