Gas Cylinder Lifting Bag Features
The innovative design of these gas cylinder lifting bags means you can safely use the gas supply whilst it is still in its bag. There is a lower vent hole and drawstring bellows at the top which prevent any build up of escaped gas. The bellows are tightened around the collar, under the gas operating valve.
Two compliant lifting slings pass through special channels right down the sides and under the bag, thus ensuring they can not come out and remain in the optimum position for strength and stability. The slings have additional wear sleeves at the top where a masterlink is attached for anchoring the gas cylinder lifting bag system to a crane or hoist load hook.
Additional webbing straps (blue) encompass the diameter of the bag at strategic points to add additional side wall strength. The number of these will depend on the bag size.
A red retainer strap along the top side of the bag enables the bag and cylinder to be anchored around a suitable structure before releasing the load hook. This will prevent the cylinder from falling over.
There is a 5mm thick plastic base within the bag and a hard tray on the outside giving strength and structure whilst offering good protection.
Two carry handles positioned on either side of the bag make it easier to handle and move into position.
Lastly there is a clear document pouch to the lower side where your documentation and information to the operator can be kept for easy access at all times.
Why Use a Lifting Bag for Gas Cylinders
Gas cylinders, especially the taller ones can be rather difficult to move around, let alone lift. This gas bottle bag system can be used to store cylinders in, using the retainer strap for securing upright. The gas within can be accessed at any time thanks to the design of the bag, it doesn’t need to be removed. The incorporated lifting sling system means it can be quickly attached to a hoists load hook and safely lifted to where needed.
Using the bag system also offers cylinder protection.
Gas Bottle Bag Sizes
As mentioned above there is a good range of sizes available to handle cylinders with capacities from 6 litres up to 80 litres. The diameter of the bag varies between capacities and is an important measurement to get right for optimum fit. The best method to find the precise diameter is to measure around the circumference of your gas cylinder and divide this number by 3.14 (Pi).
The smaller bags in the range incorporate webbing handles whilst the larger ones have rubber handles. Please refer to the specifications to find out more.
More Lifting Bag Designs
You will see many types of industrial lifting bag designs on the market for comparison, however they are not all the same so check carefully.
Alongside our gas cylinder lifting bags we also supply bucket lifting bags which are common place on building sites. They can accommodate traditional buckets and plastic tubs and come in a range of sizes/capacities.
Solar panels are another product which can be difficult to lift to heights, but with our solar panel lifting bag its a breeze.
