Latest Features of the Delta Electric Chain Hoist

This Delta hoist has recently been upgraded to include many higher quality components as well as better ergonomics, smoother operation and easier maintenance features.

The key upgraded components are the relay contactors now having a steel backing plate to which they are mounted. Eaton branded contactors are used, but only in the smallest 250kg model. Siemans relay contactors are used in the other models. They are easy to get at to remove and replace individually should the need arise, without the need to replace a whole circuit board.

The gear box now runs even smoother and the chaining guide can now be accessed easily. Any re-chaining tasks or inspections can be carried out without hindrance.
Micro chain limiters are now in play in both upper and lower areas. These prevent the chain from over-running and jamming the hoist up and/or causing damage.

There is an end chain buffer which is now sprung for a more effective defence mechanism. Offering great protection to the load hook and load.

The re-designed pendant controller is more ergonomic and so more comfortable to handle.

Safety features are built into the design and include a braking system operating on an electro magnetic spring pressure system. This design means the load will always hold safely no matter what, even during a power cut.
Overloading a hoist is a big no-no, you should always stay well within the stated safe working load limit. However it can occur without the correct load weight information and with incorrect use. To counteract a potential disaster, should overloading occur the DEH incorporates a slip clutch to act as its overload protection. It is possible to adjust this if necessary from the outside.

Electro-mechanical limit switches at the top and bottom offer protection to the chain, load hook and housing by preventing the chain from being extended or pulled in too far.

Heat sensors are another bonus, providing thermal protection in the unlikely event the hoist gets too hot.
The transmission system is permanently lubricated which means minimum maintenance as well as smooth and quiet running.
