Why Use Safety Harness and Lanyard Kits

It doesn't matter who the person is or how long they will be working at height, height safety equipment is essential. You should Never Ever think, oh I'll be ok just for this quick job!

There is law bound government legislation for working at height which must be followed by all. There is also much more information available on the Health and Safety Executive Website.

The main purpose for these rules and regulations is to prevent accidents and thus potentially save lives. Working at height is still one of the biggest causes of major injuries and fatalities, hence the legislation.

Working at height training is also advisable. Each scenario is different, thus proper planning should be undertaken. Assess the risk, plan the job, carry out the task accordingly.

It is for the reasons stated above that we have put together a number of safety harness and lanyard kits for common working at height scenarios.

Choosing your Height Safety Harness Kit

We have 3 typical kits available to purchase in our online store, however should you need anything else please contact us. We can usually get what you need quickly and at affordable prices.

The first kit we have is the Scaffolders safety harness and lanyard kit. As the name suggests they are best suited to people who work around scaffold towers, thus construction workers and roofers. There are 3 variants of this kit, with 1, 2 or 3 connection points.

The second kit is a basic harness and lanyard kit with a single rear anchor point. They are useful to keep in your tool box or work vehicle just in case a job unknowingly requires working at height.

The third kit is a restraint harness and lanyard kit. A simple kit for restraint purposes, these restrict you range of movement to prevent you from falling in the first place. These are ideal when your task keeps you within a certain area. (Fall arrest kits, in contrast enable much more freedom of movement, but they don't stop you falling. They catch(arrest) you if you do fall.)

You can find out more details about each kit on their respective pages, here you will also find the technical specifications.

What do The Height Safety Kits Include?

All of our working at height safety kits include a full body harness with 1 or more 'D' ring attachment points in varying locations depending on the kit chosen. Each kit will come with one safety harness lanyard to enable safe connections between the harness and wearer and a suitable, safe anchor point. Last but not least all our kits come with some type of carry bag to keep all your safety kit in one place. Ready to grab at a moments notice. The carry bags also keep your kit clean and away from potential hazards that could damage any of the kits components.
