Swivel hoist ring loading point for safe angled lifting/slinging tasks

When it comes to lifting large, heavy loads it is common to use a multi-leg lifting sling or multiple web slings, linking back into the loading hook on a lifting hoist or crane system. When used in this way the slings are not vertical, thus creating angles at the top and bottom where it meets the load. This scenario opens up a new set of criteria for safe slinging applications. Many standard eye bolts can not be used in these cases, however our swivel hoist ring can.

Screwed securely into a suitable point on the load itself the whole body is able to swivel through the full 360 degrees. There is no risk of the bolt twisting out. This swivel loading point has the added benefit of a pivoting load ring. This enables the attached sling to pull safely in many different directions, thus suiting your slinging set up.

You should always ensure that the the lifting points are swivelled and set to the ideal position before completing the lift. This is because the swivel hoist ring must not be swivelled when under load.

Swivel Hoist Ring Specifics

Sizes M8 up to M36 can be bought online, these sizes equate to 0.63 up to 8 tonne safe working load. We are, however also able to supply M42 and M48 swivel hoist rings with 15 and 20 tonne SWL respectively. Just ask!

Made from grade 8 alloy steel with a red painted finish and with full certification these hoist rings are suitable for many lifting tasks.
